About TickerSweep

TickerSweep is a free tool for viewing any US stock's percentage change across any time interval. Type a ticker — a stock like AAPL, an ETF like SPY, or an index like the S&P 500 (^GSPC) — and see how it has performed across 14 preset windows from 1 hour to all-time, plus any custom day count or date range you pick. No login. No paywall. No premium tier.

What it does

Most free finance sites give you a fixed set of buttons — 1D, 1W, 1M, 1Y, 5Y — and call it a day. TickerSweep adds two things on top of that conventional grid:

  • Custom intervals. On every stock page you can enter any number of days (for example, “the last 47 days”) or any explicit date range (for example, “Feb 14 to today”) and see the exact percentage change for that window.
  • 14-interval grid. Every preset window — 1H, 4H, 12H, 1D, 3D, 7D, 30D, 90D, YTD, 6M, 1Y, 3Y, 5Y, and all-time — on one screen, color-coded by direction so you can read the picture at a glance.

Tools beyond the stock page

  • Movers ranks the biggest S&P 500 gainers and losers across 10 daily intervals (1D, 3D, 7D, 30D, 90D, YTD, 6M, 1Y, 3Y, 5Y) — not just today.
  • Compare overlays up to 5 tickers on a normalized chart where every ticker starts at 0%. Click any two points to see each ticker's exact percentage change between those exact moments.
  • Backtest simulates what an investment would be worth today — lump-sum, dollar-cost averaging at any interval, or arbitrary custom-date buys, with money-weighted XIRR returns.
  • Watchlist saves any ticker with one click. Stored in your browser's local storage — no account, no server.

TickerSweep has no login and no paid tier. Every feature on the site is available to anyone who visits. Personalized data — like your Watchlist — lives in your browser's local storage, never on a server we control. The site is supported by unobtrusive ads; nothing is gated.

Live quotes come from Finnhub; historical daily and intraday candles come from Yahoo Finance. Past performance does not guarantee future results, and nothing on TickerSweep is financial advice. Consult a licensed advisor before making investment decisions.
